CB Mentoring and Kettle’s Yard invite you to become Cultural Detectives. In the month of August, we will be blending creative arts practice with participatory research methods to explore where you feel welcome, included, visible or overlooked.
This is a four-day youth-led creative project facilitated by artist and poet Hannah Jane Walker. Participants (aged 11-18) will investigate experiences of belonging, visibility, and inclusion within Cambridge's cultural spaces.
Armed with sketchbooks, cameras, and various artistic supplies participants will explore spaces, gather evidence, and document how different cultural spaces feel and who they appear to serve.
The project will culminate in a body of collaborative artwork, a collective publication, and the opportunity to have the group’s output showcased publicly.
